Why custom code instead of Shopify or WordPress?

Shopify and WordPress are excellent if you fit their mold. The moment you don't, every customisation becomes a workaround on top of someone else's architecture. Custom code means: no monthly platform fees forever, full ownership of your codebase and data, AI features built in (not bolted on through plugins), and a checkout flow tuned to your conversion data — not platform-mandated rails. For ecommerce that lives or dies by tiny conversion gains, control matters.

How long does a typical project take?

Accepted Answer

A Basic website ships in 5–7 days. A Standard build takes 10–14 days. The Premium tier and Custom Starter e-commerce ship in 14–21 days. Growth e-commerce: 30 days. Pro AI: 60 days. Enterprise builds are scoped individually. We start with a free 30-min discovery call and you get a written timeline before any payment.

What's actually included in the price — any hidden costs?

Accepted Answer

No platform fees, no setup fees, no theme licenses — that's the point of custom. The only costs outside our quoted price are third-party services *you* control: domain registration (~₹800/yr), hosting if you outgrow Vercel/Netlify free tiers (~₹0–500/month for most builds at this scale), and any paid APIs you opt into (e.g. an OpenAI key for AI features — typically ₹500–₹3,000/month at low traffic). We tell you these numbers up front, in writing, before you sign.

What does the "AI" part really mean?

Concrete things, not buzzwords: (1) AI product recommendations using vector embeddings of your catalog (lifts AOV); (2) natural-language search that handles typos, synonyms, and intent (lifts conversion); (3) personalised home pages and category sorting based on visitor behavior; (4) abandoned-cart recovery with AI-generated subject lines tuned per customer. We use OpenAI / open-source embeddings + Pinecone for vector storage. The AI runs on your data, in your infrastructure — never shared.

Do I own the code, hosting, and data?

Accepted Answer

Yes — fully. On launch day you receive: a private GitHub/GitLab repo with full source, full ownership of the production database (Postgres typically), and admin access to whatever hosting account you chose. We can host & maintain it for you ongoing if you want, but you can also walk us off the project tomorrow and the entire system keeps running — that's the whole point of custom over platform.

Question 6

What happens after launch — support, updates, hosting?

Accepted Answer

Every plan includes post-launch support (15 days on Basic up to 90 days on Premium / Pro AI). After that, we offer optional retainer plans (₹5,000–₹50,000/month depending on scope) covering bug fixes, security patches, feature additions, hosting management, and conversion optimisation. No retainer is required — your code keeps working without us.
