EcomWeb exists because most "custom" web development in India isn't actually custom — it's a page-builder or a platform theme with a client's logo dropped in. We build the other way: every line of code on every site we ship is written for that specific business, in Next.js and React, with nothing rented from a platform.
Why no WordPress, no Shopify — ever
Platforms are a reasonable trade for speed when you have no engineering resource at all. The trade-off is real, though: plugin and theme maintenance, recurring app subscriptions, transaction fees, and a ceiling on what you can actually build the moment your needs stop matching what the platform anticipated. We'd rather hand you a codebase you fully own than a rental agreement dressed up as a website.
Why AI-native, not AI-bolted-on
Product recommendations, smart search, and product analytics are built into the storefront architecture from the start on every e-commerce build that includes them — not installed afterward as a third-party app calling out to someone else's API.
