Custom Website Development
A website built from scratch around your brand and your content — not a theme with your logo dropped in. Fully responsive, fast by default, and yours to keep.
Most "custom website" agencies in India still mean a WordPress theme with your colors swapped in. That gets you a site that looks custom for about a week — until the next plugin update breaks something, or you hit a wall the theme was never built to handle. We build differently: every page is hand-coded in Next.js and React, from a blank file, around what your business actually needs.
What "hand-coded" actually buys you
- No plugin bloat — every line of code on the page exists because your site needs it, not because a template shipped with it
- Real ownership — the codebase is yours, not licensed from a platform that can change its pricing or shut down your access
- Core Web Vitals by default — static generation and image optimization built in from the first commit, not bolted on after a speed audit
- No forced upgrades — nothing to break when a third-party theme or page-builder pushes an update you didn't ask for
What's included
Every custom website engagement starts with a short discovery call to understand your business, audience, and content — then moves through wireframes and a high-fidelity design you sign off on before a single line of code ships. Depending on the tier, you get anywhere from a hand-coded 3-page brochure site to an unlimited-page build with a lightweight custom admin panel, on-page SEO, schema markup, and GA4 + Search Console wired in from launch. See the full breakdown of what's in each tier on the pricing page.
Who this is for
Indian SMBs and service businesses that want a site that actually represents them — not a template a hundred other businesses in their category are also running. It's also a fit for technical founders who specifically don't want platform lock-in: no WordPress hosting bill, no plugin licensing, no page-builder subscription. You own the repository.
The stack, specifically
Every build runs on Next.js and React, written in TypeScript, styled with Tailwind CSS. That's not a preference dressed up as a selling point — it's the combination that makes static generation, image optimization, and genuinely fast Core Web Vitals the default rather than something bolted on later. Pages ship as static HTML wherever the content allows it, with client-side JavaScript added only where a page actually needs interactivity, not loaded wholesale on every route the way a typical page-builder site does.
What happens after launch
Post-launch support is baked into the price on every tier, not sold separately: 15 days on Basic, 30 on Standard, 90 on Premium. That window covers bug fixes and small adjustments as you actually start using the site day to day — the kind of thing that only surfaces once real content and real traffic hit it, not during a design review. After that window, nothing stops working; the site keeps running with no ongoing fee, and an optional retainer exists for teams that want continued updates without hiring in-house.
Built the same way, wherever you are
The same tiers apply outside India too, in USD — $150, $450, $1,050 — for founders and businesses in the growing list of countries EcomWeb now serves. The build process doesn't change: a video discovery call, a design you approve before anything gets coded, and updates through the build, the same as for a client three streets away.
Common scope questions before you commit
The most frequent scoping question isn't about price, it's about ownership: what happens to the site if you stop working with us later. The answer is always the same — you get the full repository, you can host it anywhere, and nothing about the build depends on an ongoing relationship. The second most common question is about content: whether you can add pages later without a full rebuild. On Standard and above, yes, through the custom admin panel; on Basic, a developer handles edits, which is exactly the trade that keeps that tier at ₹5,000.
How revisions actually work
Basic includes one revision round, Standard three, Premium unlimited — a distinction that matters more in practice than the numbers might suggest. One revision round means a single pass to fix specific things you flag against the original brief, not open-ended back-and-forth; it's part of why the Basic tier holds at 5-7 days. Standard's three rounds cover the normal back-and-forth of getting a bespoke design right. Premium's unlimited round exists for projects where the brief itself evolves mid-build, which happens more often on larger, multi-page builds than on a 3-page brochure site.
Frequently asked questions
- How is this different from a WordPress or Wix website?
- WordPress and Wix give you a platform and a theme; we give you code, written specifically for your site, that you own outright. There's no plugin ecosystem to maintain, no page-builder to fight with, and no platform fee — just a static, fast, hand-built site on Next.js.
- How long does a custom website take to build?
- A 3-page brochure site typically ships in 5–7 days. A 7-page site with a custom admin panel runs 10–14 days. Unlimited-page builds with advanced SEO and integrations run around 21 days. Exact timelines depend on how quickly content and design feedback come back.
- Can I edit the content myself after launch?
- On the entry tier, content edits go through a developer (kept intentionally simple to hit the ₹5,000 price point). Standard tier and above ship with a lightweight custom admin panel so you can edit pages and blog posts yourself. (International: On the entry tier, content edits go through a developer (kept intentionally simple to hit the $150 price point).
